Overview

Approve is a redesign of an internal app to centralize approvals: expenses, time off, purchases. Managers, controllers and buyers were faced with numerous daily requests for approvals. After launch, the app provided a simple solution to allow them to process these requests quickly and conveniently.

To address these challenges, I conducted user research and interviews to understand the needs and pain points of the stakeholders.

I then created user flows and wireframes to map out the app's navigation and layout.

I also created a set of visual design guidelines to ensure that the app was visually consistent and easy to use.

I used prototyping tools to create interactive versions of the app for testing and feedback.

I also collaborated with the developers to ensure that the app was built to the highest standards and that it met the needs of the stakeholders.

Conducted 7 interviews with key users and compiled the main UX issues. With product owner, defined the priorities to align with business goals and shared them with the development team. Finally, an estimation of dev time per issue was compiled

After having a clear picture of users' needs and their behavior, I brainstorm ideas to ensure that the app's layout and its main features respond to the personas usage scenarios.

Then I optimized the user flow resulting in a decrease of the number of steps from seven to five.

Finally, I helped the business team pick a subset of the features to define a MVP.

After a content audit, I did the information architecture information with those main goal :
• Created a labelling glossary

• Ensured the consistency between the different request types

• Standardized data format across all the requests

• Improved the copy to make it mobile-friendly and trimmed text-heavy elements

• Validated the content with User Journeys before launch
